Note from organizer (Cardinal): Asma reached out to me to help her make a gofundme. Please take a few minutes to read her story, share, and donate if possible. Thank you.
Hello my friends, I am Asmaa Al-Khatib, 24 years old, and my husband Ahmed Al-Khatib, 27 years old, We have a little daughter named Sabreen, who is seven months old, As the days go by, the situation becomes more desperate for me and my family. The war has stripped us of everything - the home, the safety, and the sense of security that we once had, Our world has turned into a daily struggle for survival. My husband lost his job as he worked in a private company, and my university education was halted and I could not complete it because of the war. Basic necessities such as food, water, medicine, and my little daughter's needs for diapers and milk are difficult to obtain, Imagine living in a place where every night could be your last night, where the sound of bombs has replaced the laughter of children, and where hope is a fragile thread. This is the harsh reality that we face every day, My daughter Sabreen often wakes up in extreme fear from the sound of bombs and shelling. I hope that you look at us with compassion and help us, We have already lost so much, including beloved family members and the life we once knew. But we refuse to give up, We cling to a glimmer of hope, praying for a chance to escape this nightmare and start over. To make this possible, we need your help - not only to cover the huge costs of evacuating us to safety, but also to provide the necessities that sustain life itself. Food, shelter and warmth are no longer guaranteed. Your support here will ensure survival in the critical days ahead, and with your help, we will finally find a way out. Please, as you read this, think about the difference you can make. It's not just about saving lives; it's about restoring the dignity and hope that war has stolen. Your contribution could be the lifeline that saves Asma's family.
