I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help, but life has humbled me in ways I never expected. I’m sharing my story honestly because I need support as I work toward healing and stability for myself and my child. I am a single mother living with degenerative disc disease, a condition I’ve battled since 2023. Over time, it has taken away my ability to work consistently and support my family the way I once did. My body began failing me, and everything I had worked so hard to build started slipping away. In August 2024, I had a lumbar spinal surgery that was supposed to help me heal—but it didn’t. My pain worsened, and despite repeatedly asking for help, I wasn’t properly cared for. I lost my job and my health insurance, and had to wait for new coverage before I could restart treatment. Now, in 2026, I’ve already spent over a week in the hospital and had two more spinal surgeries, with another potentially pending due to significant nerve damage. This has left me partially disabled, but I’m taking every step necessary to heal, regain strength, and restore my quality of life.
The hardest part is being a mother who wants nothing more than to be strong and present for her child. My daughter needs her mommy to be okay—to be healthy, stable, and able to show up for her every day. The financial reality has been overwhelming. Medical bills, living expenses, and the cost of caring for my child have piled up. I am doing everything I can to move forward, but I cannot do this alone. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward medical expenses and providing stability for my child while I recover. If you can’t donate, prayers, encouragement, and sharing our story mean just as much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading our story, for your kindness, and for being part of the hope that carries my child and me through this season.
