Ashley has always been the person her friends and family turn to in times of need. Living between Dennison and Northfield, she’s raised her children with strength and compassion, always finding a way to get through life’s challenges. But now, she’s facing a situation that’s too much to handle alone. After her long-time partner left unexpectedly, Ashley was left as the sole provider for her family. Recently, Ashley’s landlord began eviction proceedings because her partner stopped contributing to rent, leaving her with back rent and no way to cover the security deposit and first month’s rent for a new place. On top of this, Ashley is also dealing with the recent loss of her stepmother, who was a grandmother to her children. She’s now responsible for funeral costs and managing her stepmother’s affairs, all while trying to keep her family together and find a new home in the Northfield or Cannon Falls area.
