Help Ashley & Sonny Jackson Through the Holidays
Donation protected
To the Marines of The Basic School Combat Instructor Bn,
As many of you may already be aware, over the Thanksgiving weekend we have lost one of our own. Bryce Jackson (of Artillery Instructor Bn) was suddenly and tragically taken from his family. He is survived by his wife Ashley Jackson (of Combat Assault Platoon) and his son Sonny Ray Jackson. There are few if any words we can offer to console her in this difficult time; however, I think we can all agree that it is important that she knows we still stand by her side.
The road ahead for a young family will be difficult and uncertain in the absence of a husband and father, especially during the holiday season. While there is little we can do to stem the direct impact of this event on their family; we can absolutely ensure they have a wonderful Christmas under the circumstances, and that their financial stability for the near future looks a bit more certain.
There is currently at least one parallel GoFundMe effort, sponsored by Bryce’s previous employer, which is already close to meeting their fundraising goal. We believe however it would be especially meaningful to Ashley to see the direct outpouring of support from her fellow Marines at The Basic School, since this was both her and Bryce’s last duty station. It would also be great if we could keep this fundraiser as a Christmas surprise, so we ask that its advertisement on social media is kept to a minimum. If you wish to pass on this information to other Marines you may know from TBS that worked with her or Bryce, or from previous units they were a part of we ask that you do so via email or text message.
