My name is Ashley, and I’m a mom to two amazing teenagers. We’ve never had a place to truly call our own. After leaving a couple of really bad, abusive relationships, I’ve had no choice but to keep moving back in with my mom, even though it’s not a supportive environment for us. I’ve also faced a lot of health challenges—nine knee surgeries so far, and I’m expecting another soon—which has made it really hard to keep steady work.

Without a vehicle, it’s nearly impossible to find and hold a good job, and without a job, I can’t get a vehicle. It’s a cycle that’s been so hard to break. More than anything, I want to give my kids the stability and safety of a real home. A place where we can feel safe, rest, and build our future together. Having a vehicle would mean I could get to work, take care of my family, and finally move forward.
