Ashley is my 38-year-old daughter and a proud Air Force veteran. For the last 15 years, she lived as a homeless person in Washington state, facing challenges that most of us can only imagine. Recently, Ashley made the brave decision to come home, determined to rebuild her life and find stability again. As her mom, I am doing everything I can to support her, but we are facing some overwhelming obstacles.

Ashley is currently without medical insurance and is struggling to obtain a new state ID, which is a slow and difficult process for someone who has experienced homelessness in another state. She has a dialysis port and urgently needs dialysis four times a week, but we have been unable to provide this due to a lack of funds and coverage. On top of that, Ashley is diabetic and has gone without insulin—her blood sugar was dangerously high last night. Every day feels like a race against time to get her the care she needs.

I am reaching out for help because I cannot do this alone. The funds raised will go directly toward helping Ashley access a primary care physician, receive her dialysis treatments, and get the insulin she needs to manage her diabetes.
