Help Asha Fight Pineoblastoma

If you know Asha, then you would know her heart. You would know her kindness, her bright humor, and her graceful strength. Within the past couple months, Asha has faced the unexpected - a diagnosis of grade 4 pineoblastoma, a rare and aggressive type of brain tumor.

Asha’s Journey So Far

With a history of migraines since she was 14, Asha's new PCP decided in January to take tests to rule any severities out. In March, Asha began to experience random symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, pressure in her head, neck pain, and she even had a hard time sleeping. What started as routine imaging quickly turned into a plethora of tests, a hospital stay, and anxious waiting. At first, the four different neurologists Asha had seen believed her scans showed a less severe type a tumor, a germinoma, but after multiple MRIs, two spinal taps, and finally a biopsy, Asha received life-changing news that she had a pineoblastoma.

After reviewing all results meticulously, the team believes this has spread to her spine slightly, finding a tiny nodule on her MRI. While Asha's amazing team has full faith that she will be okay and that treatment will be successful, treatment will be intense. Asha is still preparing for major surgery, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. Through every obstacle and setback, she has handled everything with such grace, patience, and courage. She has been showing all of us what real strength looks like.

Why We’re Raising Funds

Asha has already spent nights in the hospital and has more long stays ahead. Even with PFML (Paid Family and Medical Leave), there are gaps in coverage - including a lapse in pay and mounting medical bills that PFML does not oversee.

This fundraiser will help cover:

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance

• Lost wages during recovery

• Travel and lodging for treatments

• Meals and daily needs for her and her family

• Any additional care or support she’ll need during and after treatment

We want Asha and her family to focus entirely on healing - not bills, paperwork, or financial stress.

Asha is the type of person who can make you laugh in the hardest moments. She’s selfless, compassionate, and full of life - even now, she’s trying to stay positive while navigating this news. She has inspired everyone who loves her.
