Help Arty get a special needs car seat

Hi we’re Steve and Hayley and we’re fundraising for our son Arthur (Arty to us) who has complex physical needs due to his condition. Arty has an undiagnosed genetic disorder together with PolyMicroGyria (which means many small brain folds), this limits his physical and mental development to a large extent. At three years old in Feb this year Arty still can’t sit unaided, he can’t crawl and he can’t feed himself, Arty is also non verbal.

Arty needs a specialist car seat with postural support, a swivel base, head support and a five point harness that will grow with him and his needs as he ages. Normal car seats retail at £100-£200 but a special needs seat starts at £1800-£2000 and that’s without any adaptions.

Steve gave up his job to look after Arty full time, so this is just too costly for us. We would love to get Arty in a safe and comfortable car seat so we can continue to enjoy travel, holidays and visits to family and friends.
