My name is ArtistStan. I have been active in the Transformers fan community since 2019 (disclaimer: no connection to official Hasbro, TakaraTomy or Transformers companies). I am probably most well known for animating a short sequence of deleted storyboards from Transformers the Movie 1986.

As I've shared on and off on social media, my health has not been the best over the past 5 years. Very suddenly, my health took a turn for the worse in late May / early June 2023 and I had to admit myself to the ER with the help of my wife (no ambulance thankfully).

Once in the hospital, they found that my hemoglobin count was extremely low (less than 1/3 normal) and that I may have an autoimmune condition where I have antibodies that attack and break down my blood. The doctors do not know the cause for my dropping hemoglobin count. The emergency 5 units of blood transfusions have stabilized my hemoglobin count but the doctors are still trying to search for answers.

I've been in the hospital for a few days now but even though I have insurance through my wife (I lost my job in June 2022), my medical bills will be at least $5,500 already, without including other continuing care costs if I survive the difficult and sometimes risky procedures that the hospital may need to try on me.
