<div>My name is ArtistStan. I have been active in the Transformers fan community since 2019. I am probably most well known for animating a short sequence of deleted storyboards from Transformers the Movie 1986.

<div>My health took a very sudden turn for the worse in late May / early June 2023 and I had to admit myself to the ER with the help of my wife (no ambulance thankfully).
</div>

<div>Once in the hospital, they found that my hemoglobin count was extremely low (less than 1/3 normal) and that I may have an autoimmune condition where I have antibodies that attack and break down my red blood cells. The <strong>emergency 5 units of blood transfusions</strong> temporarily stabilized my hemoglobin count but my condition worsened again only a month later.

<div>In March 2024, my hemoglobin was now 1/6 that of a healthy male, and <strong>I was near death</strong>. I was hospitalized for a month in MD Anderson, receiving constant blood transfusions to keep my hemoglobin levels steady. While in the hospital, I dropped to 100lbs and lost so much leg muscle that I needed a wheelchair or walker.

<div>After a lot of tests, I was diagnosed with <strong>splenic marginal zone Lymphoma, along with hemolytic anemia and cold agglutinin disease.</strong> This combination of ailments is very devastating for the body and despite almost a year and a half of treatments and<strong> 100+ blood tranfusions</strong>, my body, while stabilized, is still in a very dangerous and life threatening state due to ongoing blood, anemia and liver problems. I am completely unable to even consider part-time or full-time work.

<div>Financially, you all have helped me for several years and the time has come again for my yearly deductible of $6,900. <strong>I will have to bear the full cost of my blood tests, blood transfusions, imaging and specialist visits until I meet the $6,900 threshold for 2026.</strong> Your donations would be greatly appreciated by me, my wife, my 20 year old son and 18 year old son (both in college), as we work through this difficult time. <strong>My wife is the only one able to work, </strong>and it is not enough to maintain all of our living expenses, college expenses and hospital expenses.

<div>I am thankfully still able to draw (limited due to anemia). It is the only way I can pass some time and stay connected with the wonderful and supportive Transformers fan community. I do livestreams when I have enough energy and chat with others about art, philosophy and living with sickness.
