Arthur Tyler of Cleveland, Ohio walked out of prison just one year ago after surviving nearly 42 years behind bars for a crime he did not commit. He stepped into freedom with nothing but determination, faith, and the hope of rebuilding a life stolen from him. Since then, he has pushed himself tirelessly — launching a small business, securing work, giving back through community service — doing everything in his power to stand on his own two feet.
But decades of medical neglect in prison have left Arthur with serious health challenges that now make steady work nearly impossible. He survives on a very small SSI allowance and the generosity of loved ones, but it simply isn’t enough to meet his basic needs.
Arthur spent 30 years on death row, even facing a scheduled execution. He fought his way off death row in 2014, then fought again for the right to be considered for parole, and again to finally be granted it. Through every battle, his perseverance, his unshakable faith, and his refusal to give up have inspired countless people. Many continue to stand with him — but he needs a broader circle of support to truly rebuild the life he was denied for so long.
We are humbly asking for your help. After everything Arthur has endured, he deserves stability, dignity, and the chance to heal. Your support can make that possible.
