Arminda has been a pillar of kindness in the Richmond, VA area for decades. Despite living with a very low income and moving from house to house, she has always found ways to help those around her. Whenever she hears that someone is sick, Arminda visits them, bringing food and comfort until they recover. She gives selflessly, often using what little she has to make sure others are cared for. Recently, Arminda’s challenges have grown. She suffered a fall that injured her knee, and now relies on a walker to get around. Even so, her spirit remains strong and she continues to support those in need. Her independence has always been important to her, and her car—a 2008 Toyota Scion—was essential for her daily life and for helping others. Unfortunately, the car’s engine was damaged beyond repair after overheating, leaving Arminda without reliable transportation.
