Help Aris Fix Her Tampered Ford Fusion

Donation protected
Hello friends, my name is Aris (Arianna legally)
As some of you know, earlier this year I was involved in a car crash that completely totaled my previous car (header image). In need of a new vehicle, I found a seller on Facebook marketplace looking to get rid of her 2017 Ford Fusian. The vehicle was listed as having no major issues and I was promised that it ran great. On the day of purchasing, my brother came with me for the test drive. I wanted to get it checked out by a mechanic prior to purchasing but since we weren’t too familiar with the area, the seller suggested us to drive just up the road where she gets her work done (I realize now we shouldn’t have taken her suggestion for obvious reasons). The mechanics there hooked it up and ran the tests while they vouched she kept it in good condition. All codes and everything came back perfect on the scanner. A Ford Fusian has been my dream vehicle, and I was so excited to finally have one!! To get to the point, I got the vehicle, put the title in my name and all ..and the very next day the check engine light appeared. As I continued to drive it to work, I noticed white smoke coming from the vehicle and then before I knew it, it just no longer wanted to start. Nearly $9,000 spent, for what feels like..nothing. I contacted the seller in attempt to get my money back and that didn’t get anywhere, I was left on read and ignored. I also tried getting in contact with an attorney to open a case, however I was turned away because the Ohio Lemon Law only applies to new vehicles. I’ve had private mechanics take a look at the Ford to get an idea of what was wrong with it. All mechanics informed me that it seemed to be that the codes/dash lights were tampered with and cheap/fast work was done under the hood to pass the test drive. I was told that the work required was going to be too complex for your friendly neighborhood mechanic to tackle and I was strongly encouraged to take it to a dealership to avoid making matters worse. The task of getting this taken care of completely overwhelmed me to the point that i’ve pushed it off. I knew I wasn’t going to have the means to pay for the parts and labor, and a tow truck —let alone where to even begin to get the process going. I get a lot of anxiety when it comes to these sorts of things. Well I finally managed to muster up the courage to take the first step and got the car towed to a Ford dealership. As I anticipated, I cannot afford the quote I was given (screenshot attached below). I was also told it needs new brakes and some other things but the attached quote is the minimum required to at least get me back on the road. Being a single woman living alone (with my monthly bills, on top of paying off school debt and the medical bill from my car crash), I don’t just have $6000 laying around unfortunately. It has been difficult staying afloat as is. If you are interested at all in lending a hand, I would be very appreciative. Anything would be helpful!
Thank you!
