Help Ariana Rebesco Build a Community of Hope

My name is Ariana Rebesco.
I am a Christian,
a reluctant but resilient single mother,
a breast cancer survivor,
and
a clinical psychologist.
After spending my early career engaging in labor-intensive community-based work, I went into independent private practice in 2019 with plans to bring joy, goodness, hope, and healing into the world with ease. This all changed in 2021, when amidst breast cancer treatment, I also began a divorce process within the family court system.
Through my own divorce, I was confronted with the horrifying reality of the family court system, where economic and psychological destruction is enacted mindlessly and soullessly by legal professionals with no professional training in human relationships, human development, or psychopathology. Even worse, they often work in tandem with mental health professionals who are far too complicit in this destruction due to either ignorance or greed.
Since then, I have increasingly refocused my professional work on helping parents, children, and families survive, heal, and rebuild from the family court process. I work tirelessly as a crusader for what is right and good, offering many of my services to this population for reduced or no fee – the economic devastation within this group is too significant not to.
My hope is to turn the work that I am doing as an individual into a community of support, a movement, a nonprofit, or something bigger than just myself. I have tried to explore longer-term and larger-scale funding options but have reached an impasse due to my own time and energy limitations and the current structure I am operating within as an independent practitioner.
My goal is to raise $20,000. I plan to use $10,000-$15,000 to cover the initial costs of hiring someone to identify a path for long-term funding. I plan to use the remainder to subsidize services for a larger group of families than I am currently able to serve.
I know that the group of people for whom this mission is most likely to resonate are also a group that likely has very little to give. If you would like to support this cause but are not able to do so financially, please pray, share on social media, educate yourselves, and stay hopeful. The devil wants us scared and alone, but together, all things are possible.
God bless.
