On December 29, 2025, Courtney Bish experienced every mother’s worst nightmare when her 8-year-old daughter, Aria, was rushed by ambulance to Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Aria was suffering from diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), a severe and life-threatening complication of diabetes... a diagnosis Aria had never received until that day.

Aria is currently in the ICU at Hasbro, with her incredible mom never leaving her side. As Courtney learns everything she can about her daughter’s brand-new Type 1 diabetes diagnosis, her ability to work has been drastically reduced. Through the kindness and generosity of this community, we hope Courtney can remain exactly where she belongs ... by Aria’s side ... without the added weight of mounting bills during this unimaginable time.

Courtney and Aria have a long road ahead as they begin learning how to live with Type 1 diabetes together. Let’s rally around them, lift them up, and show our love and support for this powerful mother-daughter duo.
