Help Apollo Live Pain-Free and Tumor Free!
Donation protected
His name is Apollo! He's an incredibly playful, lazy, and amazing 7-year-old GSD.

For the past year, Apollo has had issues with his anal glands and often had to get them squeezed to decrease the pain and prevent an outburst. He was doing well, but suddenly it worsened, and we had to see the vet almost every 1-2 weeks to get it cleared. He's also had to deal with several infections throughout the past couple of months that worsened. Unfortunately, one week it burst. Apollo was incredibly stoic and did not cry, and it took a few stains for us to realize what had happened. His glands are slowly healing, but the vet recommends removal so that Apollo can live the rest of his life without pain, fear (always scared of the vet), and potential future outbursts. The vet also found a tumor in the glands that could lead to cancer, and the faster we can remove Apollo's anal glands, the chances of Apollo getting cancer dramatically decreases!

$4000 will cover the rest of the costs that we cannot afford for the surgery!
He's been there for me since graduating from middle school, and I am about to graduate from college soon. He's been there for me in the worst parts of my life and always there for me in the best parts of my life.
He's our only ever family dog, and we want the best for him. We want him to live his life, pain and fear-free, and we want him to be the happiest he can be!
FUN FACT ALERT
Apollo was once spoon-fed when he was young because he was sick and couldn't stand. Now he will only eat when he's spoon-fed- otherwise he won't eat. He's got his own special big spoon and everything, and he needs to smell it, taste it, and then he will eat it.
