Help Antwan, Shane & Asta Find Safe Shelter

My name is Antwan, and I’m reaching out for help for myself, my partner Shane, and our puppy Asta. We recently lost our home in Chicago after renting from my aunt for two years. Despite always paying rent, we were suddenly put out with no warning after our aunt misused the money due to her addiction. This left us with nowhere to go, and we’re now trying to secure a safe place to stay while we get back on our feet.

The past few weeks have been incredibly stressful and heartbreaking. We had just started to settle into our lives, and now we’re facing the possibility of being separated from Asta, our puppy, just so he can survive. Shane is working full time, and I’m working part time while searching for full-time employment. We don’t have much support from family or friends, and local resources are limited. Our immediate need is to cover the cost of a hotel room at Extended Stay America in Lombard or Skokie, Illinois, for the next 60 days. This would give us the stability we need to focus on finding permanent housing and keep our family together.
