Ansaar on Wheels - providing free meals to all!

Help Ansaar Foundation purchase a food truck to provide hot meals to Toronto's homeless this winter! 

Ansaar Foundation is out in the blistering cold every weekend, distributing hot meals to hundreds of Toronto's community members facing homelessness. 

Ansaar Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to support and uplift our community. For the past two decades, Ansaar Foundation has provided tens of thousands of free, warm meals to Toronto’s underserved populations, including Toronto’s growing homeless population, seniors, newcomers and refugees, and community members.

 

Help us deliver more meals to more people through “Ansaar on Wheels”. With the purchase of this fully-equipped food truck, we aim to provide hot meals 7 days a week across the GTA.

 

Future plans for this truck include emergency response, collection and distribution of essential resources for refugee and newcomer communities, delivery of our “Food Hamper” program, and other important services for our community members. In the short term, Ansaar Foundation is working to provide much needed winterization kits, COVID-19 kits and other resources.

 

Toronto’s homeless are gearing up for a tough winter, with freezing temperatures, shelters at capacity and the threat of COVID-19. Encampments have risen and been broken down across the GTA. The need for hot meals, resources, and extending a kind hand to all those in need is now.

 

Ansaar Foundation is working to combat homelessness through resource provision, education, and raising community awareness and access to resources and supports. Throughout the past year, we’ve distributed hot, halal and vegetarian meals near the encampments and near at-capacity shelters. During the coldest months at the height of COVID-19, Ansaar Foundation volunteers have provided for the city’s most vulnerable. Ansaar Foundation is grateful for our donors, the various small businesses and grants that allow us to continue this essential work.
