Help Annie's Family Overcome Housing Crisis

Please help a family in need!!

Annie, J & J, Mariann, Tom, and Marley are without housing!

Due to an unfortunate series of financial difficulties, after 55+ years in their beloved home, the Haubert/Williams family are left without housing.

Annie is a physically disabled and chronically ill, single mom of 10 year old twin boys. She has been out of work and in the process of acquiring disability benefits for nearly 4 years, so she has no consistent income. Because of this, she has raised her boys while living with her parents. They also have a 2 year old dog named Marley.

Annie’s mom, Mariann, despite needing a double knee replacement, is the only adult in the household that is able to work. Her dad, Tom, is physically disabled after more than 30 years of more than 15 surgeries, and has been left permanently damaged from a surgery gone wrong. Therefore, their only income is from Mariann’s job and Tom’s disability benefits, until her own disability benefits are granted.

The family has been unable to find housing that is affordable, disability accessible, will allow dogs of Marley’s size, and is willing to rent to a family of 5 with the amount of income they have.

The date to move out of their home was moved up and they had to leave before having an apartment to move to.

Although they have their limited income, they still need help to pay for a temporary space for about one month, or, until they’re able to find an apartment. There are also new and unexpected costs that have come up that they just don’t have the funds for—for example:

TEMPORARY HOUSING: many temporary housing options will charge a fee for pets.

STORAGE: they need storage space to put their many years worth of possessions, until they have a permanent residence.

LAUNDRY: they will need money for the laundromat because they don’t have a place of their own, so they no longer have their washer and dryer.

FOOD: being low on funds and on a tight budget is difficult, so we want them to always have enough extra money for groceries.
