Please help Annie with what she’s lost.

Hi, my name is Jennifer Toy. My family and I are setting up this fundraiser to help my sister, Annie, replace some of the things she lost in her house fire. A few months ago, Annie had an electrical fire in her house, while she and her dog were home. Thankfully, they were able to get out, just in time, as flames were coming up through the kitchen floor while she grabbed the dog and left.

Sadly, many of Annie's belongings were either burned in the basement, or destroyed by the smoke that filled the house. Smoke damage ravaged the home, which needs to be gutted and rebuilt. Flames destroyed much of what was in the basement. Water and fire extinguisher debris contributed to the loss of many other things. Annie lost basic items like her mattress, furniture, pictures, clothing, linens, books, a laptop, etc. She also lost anything that was made out of wood or plastic, as smoke cannot be removed from wood, and the heat melts plastic. Even medication melted.

Annie is currently living in my parents' camper in their backyard until her home is finished, which may not be until September of 2024. She has had to purchase even the most basic items, all at once, which has been very difficult financially. Replacing a lifetime's worth of items, especially necessities, at one time, is almost impossible. Any donation that you can provide, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated, and needed.

Unfortunately, insurance is not covering any personal belongings or alternative housing, only structural restoration. This is where Annie needs help.
