Help Anne Weber Keep Her Farm Going
Donation protected
A little help from friends will preserve Anne's farm . . .
For as long as we can remember, Anne Weber’s smile has welcomed us to her booth at the Bainbridge Farmers’ Market, beginning in 1991 as Anne’s Flower Farm and more recently as Farmhouse Organics. She has always stepped up when others in our community needed help by donating food and organizing dinners to benefit someone in need Now she urgently needs your help for herself, her kids, and the farm.

With your support Anne can hold on to Farmhouse Organics and to her commitment to the land and you. She is inspired to move forward even while hesitant to ask for help.
From Anne: “With the worldwide pandemic creating chaos, I find myself trying to stay centered and committed to my lifelong goal of being a farmer. I faced some major setbacks this past year, but my kids, Wyatt and Talia, and I kept our heads together as we navigated the breakup of our family, my recovery from cancer, recent divorce, and the responsibility for the farm.
Right now my crew (Talia, Wyatt, a few interns, and I) are planting, weeding, harvesting and preparing all the bounty of the farm. My amazing Mom Millie (82) and Dad Dennis (86) (see below) are out at the farm every day helping to maintain the gardens. No job is too big for these indomitable helpers.

With the need for fresh, healthy produce and local food ever-present in our minds, I opened an online store and expanded our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) this year. I acknowledge that it is important to grow food in our own backyards that is accessible to our local community especially with the food chain issues we are experiencing.
To keep it all going, my family and I could use some help right now. We had two greenhouse failures this past winter (see below), lost 2,000 tomato plants to the frost, and our delivery van is broken past repair. Replacing the greenhouses will cost at least $15,000. The tomato starts were $2,000. And adding payments for a new van to my existing debt is daunting. So, at the prodding of some friends, I agreed to ask for help with this gofundme campaign to keep doing what we love to do - farm!“ Anne Weber

So, as friends of Anne, we humbly put this forward and hope you can help. Anne needs the funds to replace the lost greenhouses, buy a reliable and safe van to transport product to the farmers' markets that make up a big share of the farm's revenue, and to hire seasonal workers to help harvest and distribute the produce.
We thank you for your help. And if you can share this appeal, please send it to your friends and post it on social media. We will send you updates and some photos of the farm from time to time. And Anne plans to honor you with a Farmhouse Harvest Celebration once it is safe to gather again, just as she has done in the past for others who needed help. Wyatt, Talia, and Anne thank you with gratitude for the earth’s bounty.
