Help Anne Heal: Keep Her Family Close

My name is Jen, CowboyJen to friends, family, and followers. Anyone who knows me knows that lesbian connections and community are my passion. My older lesbian friends mean so much to me. They have been buddies, mentors, and role models as I looked out into the world trying to see hope for my future. Anne is one of those women. Seeing her live life with happiness made me know that I could live in this world as me, as someone who sees the bright side and faces it with a smile, surrounded by friends who love her.

Anne recently had a medical emergency that landed her in a hospital a flight away from the island she lives on in Hawaii. The infection is being treated aggressively. Her daughter is there with her, but because they are not near Anne's home, she must stay in a hotel during peak tourist season. The state of our healthcare insurance means, even with coverage, Anne is in for a long recovery and what will be paid for by insurance is still very much a big unknown.
