Help Annelise Hines

Donation protected
This past October, as we were pulling on our “I wear Pink for Grandma” shirts, the ones we wore for the grandma who had lost her life at 58 years old from breast cancer and the other Grandma who was diagnosed at age 59 and luckily was able to beat it and is now in remission, Our sweet, spunky, amazing, beautiful, full-of-life Annelise was herself diagnosed with breast cancer.
No woman wants to receive this terribly unexpected news, but at 25 years old, it was literally the last thing she expected to hear when she went in and was at first treated for aggravated mastitis. Between June and October 2022 Annelise was not once, but twice mistakenly misdiagnosed. First she was told everything was normal & the pain & swelling would subside. Then, a second time after a doctor order was denied a mammogram because of her “age” and not “seeing” anything eye-raising she was given a round of antibiotics for mastitis. Thankfully the wonderful NP (Aimee Mitchell) at OBGALS in Lancaster OH was persistent in getting Annelise seen again, so she sent her up to the Stephanie Spielman Center in Columbus OH on October 25th.
Within 2 days Annelise and Connor got the news that it was Stage 3 Breast Cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes in her armpit; the cancer is called Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.

Annelise is a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a best friend. She’s also a caregiver.
In May 2022, Connor and Annelise decided to move in with Connor’s grandparents to help lighten the load. Since that time they have been living in a camper in the backyard while Connor builds the addition onto the house in the hopes of getting everyone situated in their own areas before winter cold set in.

In addition to being a full-time mom to her 3 yr old son Dawson, Annelise and her husband Connor own their own business in Circleville Ohio. Due to Annelise’s part in the business being physically demanding she will lose the income from that once treatments begin and she no longer feels well.

In this moment her doctors have determined Annelise’s course of treatment to be as follows:
Starting November 14th she will have 4 to 5 months of chemotherapy with the hopes of shrinking the cancers before surgery. After that time, if all goes according to plan she will undergo at least a single mastectomy. The final course of treatment will be 2-3 months of radiation therapy.
During this time, we are asking for your help in possibly the only way you’re able to as she faces a battle we can’t fight for her.

Funds donated will be used for replacing lost income such as:
• A 30 mile drive back and forth from Circleville to Columbus for treatment & and the unusual expenses that are going to come along with that.
• Additional cost in childcare for when Connor has to assist Annelise and is unable to work.
• Help in the expenses that are going to arise that they couldn’t possibly have foreseen.

Annelise is the heart of of her little family. Not only life-threatening, this horrible disease invades every part of your life and affects most thoughts in your head. We are asking for your help in assisting Annelise in these coming months as her entire life as she knows it is turned upside down.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and possibly donate. We appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers as we help prepare Annelise for the fight for her life.
