Help Anna & Noah Get to a New Home

Hi, My name is Chaquita & I am helping set up this fundraiser for my friend Anna, & her little boy, Noah.

These words are written by another dear friend of hers:

I am a friend of Anna and Noah from the Northern Rivers. Faced with the need to find another home during this intense time, I’m setting up this ‘holding fund’ for these two special souls to make this transition as gentle as possible.

As you may well know, Anna has been unable to continue with her Mudmuck Nature Playgroups on any kind of consistent basis. And the NSW/QLD border closures have made it difficult for Noah to visit with his Dad, making it impossible for Anna to work and earn a proper living for quite some time now, living fortnight to fortnight.

As I’m sure you’re all aware, securing an ‘affordable rental’ on the Northern Rivers is extremely challenging at any time. However now, during this pandemic with so much still uncertain, and as a single mum and with all of her biological family overseas, Anna and Noah need our support.

Since relocating to the Northern Rivers 6 years ago, Anna has had more struggle than ease when it comes to finding lasting, secure housing. At times needing to rent rooms in sharehouses, and even spending time in a borrowed motorhome and tent in holiday parks on powered campsites.

Understandably, Anna’s tired, and her health and wellbeing have been impacted by the stress of worry. With no savings, this mountain seems scary and steep. That’s why I want to bring her community, friends and family together to help and hold her and Noah through this time.

Camping in a tent again would be just too much to bear. And there’s nowhere else to go for housing, other than the private rental market. We just can’t let them slip through the cracks.

Can we pull together to raise a holding fund for Anna and Noah? I’m thinking $3,000 would be such an amazing help right now.

Your contribution would go towards:

Rental bond

Removalist truck and help

Essential car repairs to keep Anna’s car safe and roadworthy so she can attend rental inspections/viewings

Fuel to attend rental inspections

If you know Anna, you’ll know she’s all about ‘community’, the ‘village’ and the ‘tribe’. She walks that talk and holds the belief that the power of our unity is one of the strongest universal forces there is, next to love.
