Help Aniel and Taylor Stay Together in the US
Donation protected
Update 3: The new application was submitted Saturday, along with the $5000 fee. They ended up paying $500 more than they expected, but due to your generosity, it was all covered!! $5400 total, fees and medical expenses!
I'll be shutting down this gofundme tomorrow. With the extra $800, gofundme's fee will be about $200, and Tay and Aniel will get the remaining $600 to help them as Taylor continues looking for a job. It usually takes about 3 months for a work visa to get approved, so pray that Aniel receives that quickly so he can get his job back!
Thank you all so much again! This has been so beautiful to see you all coming together on their behalf
Update #2: WE'VE HIT OUR GOAL!!!!!!
This is such a huge help to Tay and Aniel. Thank you all so much! This ended up covering their fees and the Gofundme fees almost exactly.
If you're reading this and also desire to give, any additional donations will be used to help them financially as Aniel's work visa was revoked and ends in a week. Taylor is going to look for a job, but there will likely be a gap in work. They do have a small amount of savings that they are planning to use to supplement her income, but any additional gifts continue to be very helpful as they go through this.
Please continue praying--as a mom, I can't imagine how hard it would be if I suddenly had to leave my kids (especially my baby who is very used to being with me all the time) for a fulll time job. The stress on Kepa, Taylor, and Aniel is great. So pray for peace, strength, resilience, and a smooth process!
Update: A little over half way in just a day!! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much. This doesnt affect just Aniel or Taylor and Kepa, it affects everyone here who loves them.
Tay and Aniel are planning on submitting the application on Saturday. The money is all due then, so they are putting in on a credit card and planning to pay it off within the month, Lord willing. Taylor will begin looking for a job since Aniel's work visa is being revoked, and hopefully everything moves quickly so they can settle into stability again.
Hi! My name is Megan. I am Taylor's sister. I wanted to start this gofundme on behalf of my sister, brother in law, and sweet nephew.
May 2023, Taylor, Aniel, and baby Kepa moved to the US from Mexico. Taylor, desiring to stay at home with Kepa, immediately found a few jobs and worked so hard while Aniel stayed with Kepa and waited for his work visa to come through. Once that happened, they switched roles with Aniel working and Taylor at home. Through their hard work, they bought a house and made it a home, found a church, made friends, and have created a beautiful little life here.
Yesterday, they received notice that Aniel's request for residency was denied. It wasn't an issue with him at all, but rather a small error in the sponsor's financial information. Typically, immigration would just ask for clarification or give a longer length of time to figure things out, but for some reason, they totally denied him AND told him he needs to quickly reapply with the help of a lawyer or leave the country within a month. On top of that, his work visa will now end in 2 weeks, and they will be without income again.
As you can imagine, this is incredibly stressful and difficult for them and for all who love them. They've thought about leaving everything here and just moving to Mexico because the lawyer fees are too much, especially when they might get denied for something minor again, but it's not what they truly want, and we are hoping this gives them their best chance of staying here together.
The lawyer they are speaking with is charging $2500 to redo all the paperwork and be sure everything is right. The cost to file is $2000 on top of that, totaling $4,500. He also has to redo all of his medical exams for the application, which will be more than the remaining $500 that I am fundraising for. This includes x-rays, blood work, mandatory vaccines, and checkups. The lawyer has told them he thinks it is unlikely he will be denied again as long as they get everything in correctly, but of course you can never be 100% certain.
If you know Aniel, you know what a good man, husband, and father he is. He works hard every day, and then comes home and spends time with his family, investing in them and enjoying life with them. He is an example to all men here in the U.S., pursuing God first, treasuring his family second, and working hard for their lives here.
I know they have many who love them, and if we all give just a little, we can help make their burden light. Whether you give financially or not, please keep them in your prayers; that they would have clarity, peace and patience as they work through this.
Thank you for your time!
