Hello everyone,

My name is Angel Morales. My family and I were evacuated at 3:00 AM on January 8th due to the Eaton Fire. The sudden awakening prevented us from gathering all our essentials at the time, so we proceeded to my grandmother’s residence for the time being.

Regrettably, we have been unable to return home to retrieve our belongings, as our block has been designated as a crime scene due to looting and access is prohibited until the investigation concludes. We are uncertain whether our home has been looted or damaged by the fires due to the blockage.

When we approached the police officers, they were unresponsive and advised us to contact 911 if we had any concerns. My parents work from home, and our absence has severely hindered our ability to earn income and pay our bills. My younger brothers are also struggling due to the lack of clothing and their belongings.
