My name is Angelina and I'm creating this page with my sister, Jessica. We're raising funds to help cover legal expenses for our mother, who was detained by ICE while returning from a vacation—despite being a legal permanent resident for over 50 years.

Our mom is the heart and soul of our family. She’s a proud mother of two daughters and a loving grandmother to four beautiful grandkids. For over 36 years, she has worked tirelessly for UPS, often holding down two or three jobs at a time just to support our family.

She made it possible for us to pursue our interests as kids and was always involved. She was the classroom mom in our schools for many years and even the Girl Scout leader for my troop when I was little. Even while carrying the weight of our home and supporting us while our father battled with alcoholism and eventually lost his life to it, she never stopped fighting for us. As I got older, she has been my rock and helped me raise my children. She pushed me to go to school and made that goal attainable while raising my kids. I have a long-standing joke with her that she is my co-parent since she was there for school drop-offs and pick-ups, all of their sports games, and was my emergency contact for their school and daycare. She was always there for them and for me. She’s our Superwoman.

Her detention has not only been shocking and traumatic, but also a financial and emotional strain on our family. We are doing everything we can to secure legal representation to fight this situation and bring her home, but we need help.

We are seeking to raise $31,000 to cover attorney fees and all legal costs related to her case. This is the full amount the lawyer is requesting in the legal agreement.
