After losing my job at the end of 2024, it took me almost a year to find employment again. During that time, I lost both my apartment and my car, and it was a struggle to keep things together for my son and our animals. Once I was able to find work, I moved us into a very low-end apartment, but unfortunately, we had to leave and have been living in a hotel ever since.

Right now, I am in-between paychecks and facing the real fear of not being able to pay for our hotel room. My next paycheck isn’t until May 7th, but the hotel payment is due by the 28th. I have been applying for a second income and interviewing, but I need help to make sure we have a safe place to stay this week.

I am scared of being unhoused with my son and our animals, and I am doing everything I can to keep us moving forward. Your help would mean the world to us and would give us the stability we need to seek permanent housing. I would never ask for assistance if I wasn’t truly without help.
