My sister Angela is easily one of the most selfless people I know. She is not only a loving and kind sister, but also a daughter, granddaughter, wife, aunt, niece and friend... A toddler teacher by trade, she is a fierce and stalwart support system for nearly everyone in her life. Angela has always dedicated her time and energy to caring and providing for others; Whether it be through direct services to the children and families in her Head Start classroom, helping family members, physically taking care of them, and so much more... I can truly say I am blessed to have her as my sister and that I would not be the person I am without her selfless dedication and support. 

Angela and her husband, Mike, met in 2010 and were married in 2012. They’ve spent their married lives traveling, camping and hiking, going to Yankee games, spending time with family, and building a home with their 2 cats. Strong in their faith and convictions, they always hoped and planned to raise a family together one day. Now, after 8 years of marriage and over 2 years of trying to get pregnant, Ang and Mike have since journeyed the arduous path of trying to conceive through fertility treatments and procedures. Although only in their mid thirties, they face an extra unprecedented hurdle: Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). They have essentially exhausted all natural avenues; including seeing several doctors and specialists, multiple procedures, expensive medicines prescribed, treatments attempted. After all of this emotional and physical stress, Ang and Mike now are seeking IVF treatments.

As it is widely known, IVF is an extremely expensive and quite invasive procedure to help parents conceive. Just like millions of other Americans, the Stockwell’s find themselves bogged down by extensive student loan debt amongst all of life’s other expenses.
