My name is Angel Rodriguez. 13 years ago, my daughter was abducted by her mother, taken to another country, and abandoned. After 6 years of fighting to get her home, I was successful in retrieving her and winning sole parental custody. Unfortunately, the process left me financially depleted. I had to take my daughter to a therapist due to the trauma she experienced while being with people who were not her parents and abuse from her mother. I am still going through the court systems due to her mother wanting to have access to her. I am completely depleted and have nothing left to sell or pawn. I work over 60 hours a week. I am a single father trying to protect my daughter from any further trauma or abuse. Her mother was ordered to pay child support, and I have yet to receive a dime in the last 6 years. She is currently 16 years old and is terrified because we are financially tapped out and we have to go through another court hearing. Everything we receive will be to keep her safe. She is a great kid, and I am a father just on his last leg doing everything I can to keep her safe.
