There's an incredible soul making the rounds at Pratt Beach in Rogers Park - nothing says summer like a sweet smile from longtime resident Angel, ringing his bell to remind you that replenishment is near.
Angel has been selling ice cream, snacks, water bottles etc. throughout north side Chicago beaches for years. He's a familiar and gracious face to many Rogers Park residents - providing much more than just physical replenishment. If you know, you know!
Unfortunately, Angel's ice cream cart completely broke down on him a few weeks ago and the cost to fix it is not feasible at this time. A few bucks here and there from the neighbors he's serviced can go far.
He is a grateful person, down to his core. Even when the chips are down, there's that smile and those hopeful words.
The ice cream push cart this fundraiser is after will allow him to charge the cart indoors and keeps ice cream frozen for 10 hours, so he'll be able to have a solid day of nourishing the masses.
If you're unable to donate - please don't hesitate to share!
We got us.
At this time Angel doesn't have consistent internet or cell service, but he has this link, the account is set up for direct deposit for him and him alone, and he is completely on board this fundraiser.
I'm just a person at the beach that remembered GoFundMe exists lol - but of course feel free to speak with him directly about this fundraiser! 100% of donations go to Angel - unless GoFundMe takes a cut (though i think that's an option to opt-out of as a donator).
Thank you for reading and let me or Angel know if you have any questions or concerns.
