Help Andy and her young family

The young woman in the picture is Andreina (Andy), who is my second cousin and goddaughter. Andy lost her husband Artemio Gomez to health complications triggered by Covid on February 11, 2021. Adding to her grief was the loss of a baby girl she was expecting in July.
Our goal is to raise CAD$8,000 to pay for the hospital bills and the family's basic living expenses in the coming six months, while a more permanent solution can be sorted out. This is where we need you, and those you know, every single amount counts and adds up.
Andy and Artemio met while studying to be nurses in Venezuela, married and worked at various hospitals in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. Soon after, they had a girl and 7 years later a boy. As many other Venezuelans, they eventually left their country and chose Panama to start a new life. Even though they were not able to work in their profession, they both landed jobs managing residential buildings.
Their girl is 18 years old now and is attending two programs: her regular high school classes in the morning and a special program focused on Information Technology / English in the afternoon. She adores the Korean group BTS. The boy is in 5th Grade and likes animals and to draw.
Not only are they left with an emotional emptiness for the loss of a loving father and husband, they are facing a financial uncertainty. There is still a long way to go and we hope you will help us make their lives a little easier.

Andy y Artemio se conocieron mientras estudiaban Enfermeria en Venezuela, se casaron y trabajaron en varios hospitales de Barquisimeto, Venezuela.
