Help Andrew Build Dugout Canopies for Severn Danza

Hello! My name is Andrew Gotwalt and I am a Life Scout with Troop 446 located in Hanover, Maryland. I am working on my Eagle Scout Project, which is building dugout canopies for Severn Danza Park Field 1. My inspiration for taking on such a project is that I have been playing baseball with the Severn Athletic Club at the park for almost 14 years. I thoroughly enjoy playing the game and learned so much about it playing for SAC that I would like to help improve the field for the players that will use it in the future.

Field 1 is the primary field used by travel, tournament, and some high school teams. Currently, the field dugouts are only benches with fencing around it and without cover, the players are exposed to the elements with no relief. These canopies will be beneficial to the players and coaches by providing shade and cover from rain. It will also help protect the players equipment.
