Help Andrea set up Ukraine refugee accommodation

SOS - DIY help needed.

This is my Facebook post:
To all my friends in/around Eymoutiers, and beyond.
I am finding the news from Ukraine very difficult to watch and comprehend. It’s shocking and upsetting.
Yes, I can give donations but I want to do something more hands on. My house has the potential to accommodate at least one family in the top floor attic apartment. However, it needs work. Basic new electrics were put in when I bought the house, there is water up there and new windows at the front of the house. The main work needed is repairing the ceilings, plastering couple of walls, running out a few more sockets, installing a new bathroom and kitchen. Then thorough cleaning and painting.
I’m asking if there are any people out there who could please help me do this by donating a little of their time (especially if you really feel you want to offer some purposeful aid to help some refugees but are not sure what you can best do) and/or donate materials you may have left over from any work you have done. e.g paint, plasterboard, electrical leftovers, maybe a bath/shower you’ve taken out but is in good condition etc etc.
The offers of help are incredible so I am setting up this GoFundMe page for anyone a little further afield who might want to contribute.

What do you think? Can you help me create a safe place?
There is always the possibility that the offer of accommodation might not be taken up. In this case, I would offer the use of the place for other charitable work e.g NHS and care workers retreat, women’s refuge, emergency housing; I am open to any other suggestions.
Thank you.
Andrea.
