Andrea & Johnny's Dream to Adopt

When facing life’s hardships, Andrea and Johnny meet them head on with great determination and grace. They both have the ability to make even the toughest moments seem bright and they never give up hope. If you know them well, you would know that they always put others first, and asking for help is not in their DNA (which is why we are setting up this page for them). For 3 years they have been chasing their dreams to grow their family through adoption, and they recently experienced the heartbreak that so many other couples have as well, a failed adoption. They were able to fully finance this first planned adoption on their own, but with the average adoption costing $40,000-$50,000, we are hoping for the generosity of others to assist in helping them be able to make their dream come true.
Andrea and Johnny are so caring and have so much love to give, we know that they are going to be the best parents when their time comes. Read their story below and if you are able to help in any way, we would greatly appreciate it!

THEIR STORY:
Andrea and Johnny have been building their lives together for over 10 years! They have been married for over 5 years (2014) and knew very early on in their relationship that they wanted to grow their family. Soon after they were married, they discovered that Andrea would be unable to carry a child. This didn’t stop their desire to be parents; it just opened their eyes to the possibility of growing their family through adoption.
They began their adoption journey in February of 2017 by taking a few classes to learn more, and ultimately submitted their first application with a local adoption agency. During the past 3 years, Andrea and Johnny have been fully committed to this process and excited about the possibilities this could bring. They have undergone countless classes, stacks of paperwork and questionnaires, and completed multiple home studies in order to actualize this dream. After being approved through the many channels and undergoing a year of waiting and hoping, they decided to begin working with an additional agency that has a national reach. The outcome of this additional outreach was positive, and Andrea and Johnny received amazing news in early summer of 2019 that they had matched with a birth mom, pregnant with a baby boy, whose due date was at the end of November. After 2.5 years of this extremely emotional process, they were hopeful their prayers had been answered.
On top of all of the agency fees and legal fees associated with this adoption process, Andrea and Johnny chose to provide additional financing to support the birth mother and baby. They did this by paying for housing, clothing, food, and other day to day living expenses to ensure their overall health and wellbeing were a top priority.
As the due date approached, Andrea and Johnny patiently awaited the call to inform them that their soon-to-be baby had been born and they could finally meet him. Unfortunately, they received a much different call. It was their legal team informing them that the birth mother was no longer moving forward with the adoption.
A few months have passed, and while Johnny and Andrea are still overwhelmed with emotions from their most recent experience, they are very hopeful that their child is still out there. They are hoping to move forward with another adoption in order to fulfill their dream of becoming parents.
