Hi friends,

I'm helping a good friend, Andre Mejia, with a bit of an emergency. As many of you know, Andre is a stand-up guy just trying to get by. In spite of his health issues, Andre works hard driving for Lyft to pay the bills. The emergency is that his hybrid car's high voltage battery has gone out and needs replacing at a cost of $3200. This is Andre's means of livelihood, and if he can't get back to driving, it will snowball into a terrible situation. Please consider helping any way you can. Together we can make a real difference!

Yay! Together we met the $2800 goal! Thanks everyone for helping make this happen. Andre's car is now in for repair and should be ready as soon as Monday! However we just raised the goal to $3500 to help offset Andre's missed days of work, and to allow for some additional vehicle periodic maintenance that is overdue. It seems like a good thing to do the preventative stuff in order to keep him on the road. Thanks again everyone!!
