<div>I'm helping a good friend, <strong>Andre Mejia</strong>, with a bit of an emergency. As many of you know, Andre is a stand-up guy just trying to get by. In spite of his health issues, Andre works hard driving for Lyft to pay the bills. The emergency is that <strong>his hybrid car's high voltage battery has gone out and needs replacing at a cost of $3200</strong>. This is Andre's means of livelihood, and <strong>if he can't get back to driving, it will snowball into a terrible situation</strong>. Please consider helping any way you can. <div><strong>Yay! Together we met the $2800 goal! </strong>Thanks everyone for helping make this happen. Andre's car is now in for repair and should be ready as soon as Monday! However we just raised the goal to $3500 to help offset  Andre's missed days of work, and to allow for some additional vehicle periodic maintenance that is overdue. It seems like a good thing to do the preventative stuff in order to keep him on the road. Thanks again everyone!!
