Greetings family and friends,
I recently became a single father of two toddlers 6 & 7 (we just celebrated Ma’atoaka’s Solar return on 9/11/23). We are raising money to secure affordable housing in the East Bay Area. We have been living in a shelter for the past 6 months and adequate childcare, especially for an autistic son has been up and down struggle. Part of the funds requested will help cover childcare, clothes, and basic necessities for the children, as they lost most of their belongings in their former home, due to mom’s mental health crisis and subsequent hospitalization. My son Ashoka is autistic and requires special attention, so it’s taking extra time to keep childcare on a consistent basis. Any and all financial support is appreciated as I often have to take extra time off work to support my family and give them the extra love they need.
