Amy is one of the sweetest souls you will ever meet. She is a single Mom with two teenage kids at home.

When Amy was pregnant with her firstborn, she was diagnosed with gestational diabetes which never went away after giving birth. She went on to battle this disease for years which has turned into type 1 diabetes for her. Over the years, she has had complications but now her kidneys are failing, and she's undergoing dialysis, three times a week, patiently waiting for a transplant.

Around six months ago on her foot which turned into an infection. She was in the hospital and had some procedures and very strong antibiotics but the infection has now gone deeper and it's not reversible and now the doctors have decided to amputate her foot and part of her leg which will take two surgeries.

She will be in the hospital for some time and then go to another facility for recuperation and start the process of obtaining and assimilating of a Prosthetic leg which will take a long time as well.

This is a very long process in which Amy will not be able to be herself, work hard and provide for her children and family. Also, all the hospital bills and treatments she will have to pay out of pocket will be sky high.

If you know her personally, you will know she is very independent and will never ask for something like this.

These are her friends caring for her and knowing there is a great need for her and her family. We want her to go through this difficult process having peace of mind to be able to concentrate on her healing and knowing she has people that love and care for her.
