My name is Anas Ferwana, I'm 33 years old, and my family and I used to live in peace and stability before the beginning of the devastating war in the Gaza Strip on October 7th.
I and my wife Reem, 22, an ambitious student studying at the university in her final year of study, got married on May, 27th, 2023, so we are actually a newly married couple, who are dreaming of having a happy and big family.
On October 13th, Israeli occupation warplanes dropped leaflets, stating that we must evacuate our home in the north of Gaza to the south, claiming that the area was a "war zone", so we headed to the south in the Deir al-Balah area, living in miserable conditions in a small and unlivable tent.
I and my family lost our beautiful home as the Israeli occupation forces completely destroyed it on March, 20th, killing our dream of having a big and warm home.
In addition to that, I lost my work as a cashier in Shawerma Fahed restaurant, one of the most famous restaurants in Gaza, because my workplace was totally demolished by the Israeli occupation and Reem lost her studies, which she dreamed of finishing with distinction.
Life in Gaza has become completely unlivable and we are seeking help for basic needs of shelter, food, water and medical care.
We hope for your support and assistance in rebuilding our lives, our work, our beautiful, warm home with our family, and my wife’s studies as our most basic rights.
