Help Anahita Recover After a Violent Robbery in Reseda
Hello, my name is Anahita,
I’m a college student living in the Reseda area, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart after going through a terrifying and traumatic experience on Thursday, September 25th, 2025.
That afternoon, I had just left Wells Fargo Bank and was on my way to repay a loan to a friend. This friend was helping me with the process of getting my sick parents to immigrate here. I made a short stop at luv Car Wash in Reseda to vacuum and clean my car. While I was inside the car, a white Jeep pulled up next to me. Moments later, a young man (around 24–26 years old) approached my vehicle, opened the door, and stole my handbag — which had my wallet, cash, ID, and all my bank cards.
When I realized what was happening, I screamed and even tried to stop him by grabbing onto the vehicle — but he violently pushed me to the ground and drove off. No one came to help.
The police arrived quickly and reviewed the surveillance footage. It turned out the vehicle was stolen, the license plate was fake, and the suspect had followed me from the bank. This wasn’t random — I was targeted.
Why I’m Asking for Help
As a full-time student, I work hard just to cover rent, food, and tuition. The money that was stolen wasn’t extra — it was everything I had. This attack has left me emotionally shaken and financially devastated.
I’m asking for your kindness and help so I can:
Replace my stolen documents and belongings
Pay my upcoming rent and bills
Afford food and essentials while I get back on my feet
Cover costs related to safety and transportation
A Message from My Heart
This wasn’t just a theft — it was an attack on someone trying to do the right thing. I’m sharing my story to raise awareness, especially for other young women and students who, like me, are just trying to survive in this world.
If you’ve ever been in a difficult place or feared for your safety, please know your support means more than words can say.
