Friends,
The Untold Story Bookstore is excited to announce a new project led by local high school students (special thanks to Hailey Sotelo!) who will be creating podcasts that highlight the Untold Stories of Mexican Americans who have called Anaheim home for generations.
This project is about more than storytelling—it’s about preserving our history at a time when some voices are being erased. We’re proud to be collaborating with a professor from Santa Ana College to guide the work.
Here’s where we need your help: we don’t yet have the podcasting equipment to bring these stories to life. If you’d like to support, you can do so in two ways:
• Donate funds through our GoFundMe (link below).
• Donate equipment if you have podcast or video tools you no longer use.
This initiative serves a dual purpose:
1. Empowering youth with hands-on experience in interviewing, storytelling, and media production.
2. Preserving Anaheim’s heritage by creating a lasting archive of Mexican American history that future generations can learn from.
Please consider supporting—and share this with anyone who might be interested in helping preserve these stories for generations to come.
