A note from the Mann family -
Our family of six recently lost our home and many belongings to the floodwaters of Hurricane Helene. The day before the hurricane came, we evacuated our young children (ages 8, 5, and 3) and our one-month-old baby to a safer location to wait out the storm. Thankfully, we were all safe, but our home was not. Floodwaters made the home unlivable and ruined so much of our stuff. The children lost all of their outside toys, like bikes, scooters, strollers, and sporting equipment. We lost furniture and other household items, tools, and many things we use for homeschooling our kids. We are a one-income family; I stay home to care for the kids while my husband works, and the financial burden has been challenging, to say the least. Although the hardest part was explaining to the kids that we couldn’t go back to live in the home, and we are still struggling with those emotions each day.
Praying it gets better with time.
We are trying to look on the bright side that we are all safe and healthy. We are very blessed to be a part of this wonderful ITT family!
