Help an IDF reservist get back on his feet!
Hello and shalom to my friends abroad,
A very close friend of mine who was released from Gaza last week after 178 days is in need of financial assistance.
I. (will refrain from using his name to spare any embarrassment) was sitting with me on October 7th drinking coffee when we both got the call to head down south. He selflessly left his wife who was 9 months pregnant, 4 kids, his job and a house that was in the middle of being constructed to go serve and protect his people. To his daughters birth he came just in time in uniform straight from Gaza. He’s an officer, currently a Major in the paratrooper brigade, who has served in every war since 2006 on the front lines. He’s lost friends along the way and has been plucked from a fate of sure death several times during these past months.
He leads his soldiers and puts himself in harms way time and time again to ensure the security of his team. He’s shown that he would give his life for his friends and is the most moral, selfless man I know. And he needs help.
He embarrassingly told me that the house that was under construction has costed him more than he anticipated because of the war. Extra fees and payments that were postponed has left him with a 60 thousand shekel bill that he doesn’t know where to find the money to pay for.
In his civilian life he’s a firefighter and has already taken out a loan to build the house in the first place after years of saving up living in a tiny housing unit.
The funds raised would go straight to him in order to cover the debt and allowing him to get back on track as fast as possible. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated!
