Help Amy and Her Kids Find Safety

Hi friends, I rarely ask for help, but I am helping a family with an emergency situation. As many of you know, my husband is an attorney and we take on many pro bono cases. We have a family who is in desperate need. I am changing the names to protect this family.

On November 3rd, Amy was attacked by her boyfriend Fred. The neighbors called the police because they heard the situation and thought he was killing her. Amy's three young children were in the house and she is 32 weeks pregnant with their fourth child. This attack went so far that she was even hit with a hammer; the children were witnesses to this. Fred was arrested and his family immediately put up the $50K bail. While part of Fred's bail conditions are no contact with Amy and the children, we do not know where he is and Amy is terrified he is going to find her.

Amy has spent the past several days in the hospital while I have been keeping her little ones safe and well cared for. Because of the attack, Amy will not be able to work for the next several weeks and needs to be able to recover before her baby arrives. Amy has found a new place to live where she and the kids can be safe, but because she is now out of work, she needs some money for her security deposit and groceries.
