After sustaining a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as a result of a fall on the ice in February of 2014, Amy has been passionate about raising awareness of this invisible injury that affects 2.5 million Americans each year.

She attends Brain Injury Awareness Day at our Nation's Captiol each March (March 6, 2024) to lobby and meet with her senators and congress members -- encouraging them to join the Congressional Brain Injury Task Force.

She does all of this without pay or travel reimbursements, as most of these groups have no budget for speakers. Which is where YOU come in!! Every dollar donated will go directly towards Amy's advocacy efforts -- particularly Washington DC this coming March 6th.

Amy has published five books on the subject: "Life With a Traumatic Brain Injury: Finding the Road Back to Normal" which is a collection of her stories originally published on the Huffington Post.
