Our family is reaching out with love and humility to ask for support for our mother, Aminda Anabela Asencio de Ríos.

Aminda is a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose strength and kindness have touched many lives, both through her work as an educator and in her personal life.

She has been bravely facing an aggressive stage 4 abdominal cancer that has now spread throughout her body. Chemotherapy has stopped being effective, and her doctors have concluded that the only focus at this stage is comfort and care.

This past week, she was hospitalized in New Jersey with a severe infection. Despite the challenges, she has shown remarkable strength and resilience. With medical care, she has stabilized enough to be cleared by her oncologist to fly home to Guatemala.

Her greatest wish is to return to Guatemala, where she can spend her remaining time embraced by her family and the place she loves most.

Because of her fragile condition, this journey requires urgent coordination and significant financial cost. As a family, we are doing everything we can, but your support will help us with:
