My name is Amber, and I’m reaching out because my family and I are facing a crisis in our home. After extensive hurricane damage in 2020, we’ve been struggling with mold, broken windows, a leaky roof, and most recently, a crumbling wall. When the wall collapsed, I discovered water had been leaking inside for who knows how long, making the situation even more urgent and dangerous.

I’m a full-time worker, a mom to a toddler who was recently diagnosed with level 2 autism, and a 3-month-old baby. I also have several pets who are part of our family. The mold and structural damage have made our home unsafe, and I’m worried every day about the health and safety of my children and pets. The funds raised will go directly toward repairs and moving us to a safer location, so we can start to rebuild and keep everyone protected.
