Hello, my name is Amber Dickerson, and I live in the small town of Logan, Ohio. There’s a wonderful community here at Pine Ridge Apartments, and I’m reaching out to raise money for book bags and basic school supplies for the children who live in the complex.

Alongside the apartment manager, Elizabeth Morris, we’re planning a back-to-school cookout and family fun day! with games, water balloons, relay races, and more, to celebrate and support our kids before the new school year begins.

Like so many communities, ours has families facing economic challenges. We know how hard it is to make ends meet, and how something as simple as a new backpack or notebook can make a child feel ready and excited for school. We want to help give these kids a jumpstart and a reason to smile.

We’re personally covering the costs of food and activities for the cookout, but we’re asking for help with raising $500 total:

• $235 for book bags

• $230 for supplies

• The remaining to cover anything extra the kids might need

I know there are so many children in need across the country, and I wish I could help them all. But right now, I’m doing what I can to support the children right here in my community.

If you feel led to give, we are truly grateful. All donations will go directly to helping these children, and we’ll gladly provide receipts and proof of purchases. We’ll also publicly thank every sponsor who supports this effort.
