My name is Amber, and I am a single mom doing my best to provide a safe and loving home for my son. Due to health reasons, I can only work part time, and I don’t receive any help from my son’s father. For the past six years, I have worked hard to build a home for us, but now we are facing a crisis that I can’t handle alone.

Our home’s electrical system is failing. We have lost lights in the living room, kitchen, dining room, both bathrooms, and the hallway. Only four outlets still work, and every day we seem to lose more power. I’ve had several electricians come out, and they all say the same thing: our home is very dangerous right now and could catch fire at any moment. It’s terrifying to leave my son at home with only a flashlight to see, and I constantly worry about his safety. I have to remind him how important it is to stay alert and to get out immediately if something happens.

The funds from this fundraiser will go directly to paying an electrician to fix our home and make it safe and warm again. I would be so thankful if my son and I could get the help we need to fix our home and not lose everything we own.
